This Sunday, October 6th, the DCC Countryside Ranger service is running its annual Hayfield Woodland Festival around the Sett Valley Trail car parking area. It's a chance to check out on some woodland skills, some campfire cooking and some good chat. It runs most of the day. A poster's attached.
The Village Hall is offering its redundant compost bins to all-comers. it has four 330 litre black 'dalek' types, and three smaller cuboids. Our Apple Day is next Saturday, October 12th, 1- 4.30 p.m., again at the primary school. And we've never so many exhibitors/stallholders! Amongst those lately confirmed are kite-flying, Lymefield Garden Centre, facepainting for kids, and electric bikes and cars. There's almost an A-Z of attractions on offer, inside and out.
