Peoples Emergency Briefing - Second Hosting

 

Dear Sustainable Hayfield Member/Supporter   *Peoples Emergency Briefing - second hosting*   Don't miss this opportunity to come along to our second hosting of the People's Emergency Briefing film on the climate and nature emergency, for anyone who missed it first time round or who wants to watch this important briefing again.   Friday 7th August 7.30pm at St Matthews Church Refreshments from 7.00pm. Free and open to all.  Film rating 16+ The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future, and the solutions available to us to deal with it, if only there was the collective will at every level to undergo the change required to adopt them. On 27 November 2025, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of more than 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media in Westminster. The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy, and did so on the public record. More details https://www.nebriefing.org   Its purpose was to demonstrate what a clear, evidence-led national emergency briefing could look like and why it is needed. It outlined the risks facing the nation - and the credible and positive responses available.
