Show the Love this February!

Why not  #ShowTheLove for our planet this February / Valentines Day? People across the UK will be painting, drawing, stitching, printing or otherwise designing green hearts for window displays to demonstrate their public commitment to work for a greener, cleaner, safer world, which values biodiversity, fairness and sustainability. Might you join them? And, if you wish, why not write a letter to our MP, enclosing a grreen heart and ask him to do what he can to promote government actions which help secure that reality and make more progress on the huge tasks facing us to achieve net zero within a decent period. He couln't help but notice a cluster of green hearts arriving in his mailbox/bag.! Details of the wider campaign are at https://www.theclimatecoalition.org/show-the-love

Thank you!

 Dear Sustainable Hayfield Member/Supporter

Tidying up is the theme here - ours and yours.First off, we've advised previously about our planned social/trip to the Strines Nightingale Thursday, 3rd Novermber, to see the hugely enjoyable Gally Canters. A good time is promised........but we've been informed the Nightingale's kitchen is out of commission , so there'll be no meals on offer. But good company, drinks, snacks and fine music are assured. Join us on either of the 7.10p.m. or 8.10p.m. buses from Hayfield for the evening.Second, Halloween and Bonfire nights often leave litter in their wake. So, after the celebrations, why not play your part in helping clear up any materials discarded on the streets? We're organising a mini litter pick on Sunday November 6th 2.00-4.00p.m. We'll have our litter pickers outside the Parish council offices for volunteers to collect and we hope you'll focus on your own home area. If that's inconvenient for you, why not borrow our pickers any time November 5th-12th? Click here for details. Thank you! Finally, if you're reading this, the odds are you're a supporter, and haven't yet converted to being a member of Sustainable Hayfield. Those who have, thank you! Those who haven't yet can't vote at our AGMs etc,, propose motions and the like. So why not become a member now? It's free and carries no obligations! Just contact Pennie Roberts at iampennieroberts@gmail.com, saying you want to become a member, and it's done! Please act now, and save us needing to remind you again. Thank you, as everLaurieJamesfor Sustainable Hayfield
